The SS features an all-new tread pattern consisting of a smoother, diamond pattern center with more aggressive side lugs. This tread pattern allows the rider to keep speed going into corners and maintain control throughout any transition a gravel ride could present. The GravelKing SS incorporates a supple 126 TPI casing with a nylon puncture resistant belt and Panaracer’s proprietary ZSG (Zero Slip Grip) compound.

It's the ultimate gravel tire. Available in 700 x 32, 38, and 43c it's fully hookless rim and tubeless compatible.

Sunset orange was inspired by the glowing orange sky that can only be seen at the end of the day and after an amazing ride. Turquoise is reminiscent of the summer sky, which symbolizes positivity, happiness, and possibilities.

100 Mile First Thoughts

It was an extremely difficult and long struggle to mount these tires to my HED Flanders C2 Disk Plus rims, but after the battle that claimed a tire lever or two was won and all our (yes, it was a two man job) fingers were re-attached and rehabilitated, I proceeded to inflate the tires as an act of triumph over these orange wonders that we just subdued. At 45 psi they instantly satisfied my need for speed through the corners and they haven't complained one bit when I take my eyes off the road for just a moment and run over metal roadside debris. My 700c X 38 size on Salsa's 2018 Journeyman proved to be just as capable of wet, rocky, and stupid-steep unmarked trails as other semi-slicks I've worn out, even above 30 psi (although they are quite confident at lower pressures too). I bought these to make my commutes faster and comfier while still keeping me from crashing down exposed hillside trails, and I would be surprised if they don't continue excelling at those tasks past 1,000 miles, but they are worth it nonetheless. I may or may not have bought them for the color, but no matter how silly your reasons are, deciding to buy these is no mistake.

Great tire I just wish they had a larger size slick

My first time on Panaracer SS

A nice light and supple tire for a gravel tire. Pretty easy to get on the rims but I had a little difficulty transitioning to inflated with the sealer added. Ultimately, I had to inflate with my compressor but then leaving the compressor connected for 20 minutes or so while I rolled the wheel around to distribute the sealer. A nice cushy ride at 35psi. Surprisingly fast rolling for 43mm width. Time will tell how well the hold up but highly recommended so far. I will definitely buy these again.

The best! … in turquoise

This is my 7th or 8th set of Gravelking SS tires (28-43mm!) and I couldn’t recommend them enough for the casual city cyclist. Using them almost exclusively on horribly paved city roads of San Diego and wide open packed gravel trails, the semi-slick tires are premium. For this 2023 color, I went up to 43mm from 38mm (astral blue). Does it ride heavier? Sure. Could it be the extra few oz of sealant I use for new tires? Maybe. But after a 10m test ride over pot holes, curbs, and sidewalks I wouldn’t want any other rubber on my rims. The rolling resistance of a road tire, the bite of an off-road tire on turns, and a snazzy new color… it’s all that I was looking for. You can’t go wrong with Gravelking. If only they had more colors!
